Project Title: Arts To Infinity
Project Description:

Rising Stars Academy of Dance & Performing Arts (RSA) seeks $10,000 to expand Arts to Infinity, a youth development initiative providing arts education, academic tutoring, and wellness programming to underserved youth in Houston’s Hiram Clarke community.

In our neighborhood, over 86% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch, and many local schools no longer offer consistent fine arts programming. As a result, youth face limited access to creative outlets, academic support, and structured after-school enrichment. RSA addresses this gap by delivering high-quality, subsidized programming directly within the community.

Through Arts to Infinity, students participate in weekly classes in dance, theater, and visual arts alongside structured math and literacy tutoring through our STAR Tutoring Program. Middle and high school students also engage in leadership development workshops, college exposure opportunities, and mentorship that build confidence and long-term educational aspirations. Families are invited to participate in wellness-based engagement events that promote mental health, creativity, and community connection.

Funding from the Hermanowski Foundation will directly support teaching artist stipends, certified tutoring staff, art and academic supplies, transportation for cultural enrichment experiences, and program evaluation. This investment will allow RSA to serve approximately 125 youth annually with consistent, structured programming that improves academic engagement, artistic skill development, and social-emotional growth.

For many of our students, RSA is the only accessible arts and enrichment provider within a 10-mile radius. By removing financial and geographic barriers, we are cultivating confident, creative leaders prepared to thrive academically and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Total Project Budget: 74,000

Other Funding

Project Title: Brain Gain Initiative
Project Description:

Promoting literacy and STEAM in a fun and engaging environment is crucial to enhance the falling math and reading rates in Elkhart County. 32.4% of fourth through eighth grade students demonstrated language arts proficiency as opposed to the state average of 44.8%. Math scores are significantly lower, with 22.5% of third through eighth graders demonstrating grade level efficiency, compared to the state average of 40.7%. This declining academic achievement demonstrates a significant need for out-of-school education initiatives. Brain Gain is a supplementary educational program designed to enhance education initiatives through hands-on fun and high yield learning activities. Offering a plethora of activities, Brain Gain can be utilized for homework help, small group tutoring, individualized education supplementation, college and career exploration, and a myriad of STEAM projects. Maintaining a no-cost program is crucial to the Elkhart County area. 40% of our members are from single parent households, 73% from asset limited, income constrained, employed (ALICE) households and 59% qualify for free/reduced school lunch. Restrictions placed upon families, whether financial, physical, etc., present challenges when academic enrichment is needed. We remain committed to providing academic programming to bolster the lives of all youth in Elkhart County for no additional cost. We provide a variety of different ways to get involved with club that promote inclusivity and comfortability. We recognize that providing multiple avenues to engage with peers and learn new skills can benefit a broader scope of youth. Additionally, each of these sectors can be completed simultaneously if the youth desires, or it can be mapped out one at a time. The schools that BGCEC serves do not provide comprehensive tutoring or academic support outside of school time. It is crucial that we can provide a wide range of opportunities for our community at no additional cost.

Project Title: YNOTT Impact Lives: Youth Health & Transplant Family Support
Project Description:

The YNOTT? Foundation (Youth Needing Organ & Tissue Transplants) seeks support for the YNOTT Impact Lives Initiative, expanding two critical programs serving pediatric transplant patients and at-risk youth in Ohio, Georgia, and nationwide through emergency assistance.
More than 2,000 children in the United States are currently waiting for a life-saving organ transplant, and thousands more live with chronic kidney, liver, and heart conditions that may lead to organ failure. Kidney disease affects 1 in 7 U.S. adults, and rising rates of childhood obesity, hypertension, and diabetes are increasing risk factors among youth—particularly in underserved communities where health disparities and lower donor registration rates persist.
Founded from my lived experience as a transplant recipient, YNOTT? understands that when a child faces transplant, families face more than a medical crisis—they face financial instability, emotional exhaustion, and difficult choices between work, housing, and being present at their child’s bedside.
Through the YOHA Family Assistance Fund, we provide emergency transportation assistance, temporary lodging near transplant centers, meal support during hospital stays, and limited financial relief. These supports help stabilize families so they can focus fully on their child’s recovery.
Through the YNOTTYOU? Initiative, we deliver youth-centered education on organ health, early disease detection, healthy lifestyle practices, and culturally responsive donor awareness programming.
Over 12 months, we will assist 40–50 pediatric families and educate more than 500 youth. Funding will provide immediate relief while advancing long-term prevention, strengthening vulnerable children and promoting health equity.

Total Project Budget: 71000

Other Funding
Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): YNOTT? currently has multiple funding opportunities in progress, including a $10,000 request to the Hermanowski Foundation, additional family foundation applications, corporate sponsorship proposals, peer-to-peer fundraising efforts, and major donor cultivation initiatives. Estimated Pending & Prospective Funding: $56,000 With more than 15 years of sustained programming and diversified fundraising, YNOTT? is confident in securing the remaining support needed to fully fund the $71,000 project budget within the 12-month grant period.

Project Duration: June 1, 2026 – July 31, 2027
Geographical Area Served: Primary service areas include Ohio and Georgia, with emergency assistance available nationwide through the YOHA Family Assistance Fund.

Project Title: The Bowie State University Nutrition Lounge – 2026 Student Food Security & Wellness Operations
Project Description:

The Bowie State University Nutrition Lounge provides immediate food access and nutrition support to students experiencing food insecurity, many of whom are first-generation college students from Prince George’s County and surrounding communities.

Founded in 1865, Bowie State University is Maryland’s first Historically Black College and University (HBCU), with a longstanding mission of expanding educational access and opportunity for underserved populations. A significant portion of our student population is between the ages of 18–21, aligning directly with the Hermanowski Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of children and young adults.

Food insecurity remains a critical barrier to academic success, mental well-being, and student persistence. The Nutrition Lounge functions as a preventative health and welfare intervention—ensuring students have access to nutritious meals, snacks, and essential items that support focus, energy, and overall wellness.

Grant support will provide general operating assistance for food procurement, healthy meal supplies, and student-centered wellness support throughout the 2026 academic year. By stabilizing students’ basic needs, the Nutrition Lounge empowers young adults to remain enrolled, persist academically, and continue building leadership skills necessary for long-term success.

Through this support, the Hermanowski Foundation would directly impact hundreds of young adults navigating the transition from adolescence to adulthood—ensuring that hunger does not hinder their educational progress or future potential.

Project Title: Equality Project
Project Description:

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming launch of the Southern Nevada Art Museum, opening in 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada. This landmark, 10,000 sq. ft. public art museum will showcase an extraordinary collection of works from both master and contemporary artists—creating an inclusive space for education, culture, and inspiration.

As the first public art museum of its kind in Southern Nevada, the collection will include works from iconic artists such as Picasso, Rembrandt, Dali, Dürer, and Peter Max, as well as contemporary masters like James Coleman, Donovan Fitzgerald, Michael Godard, Kre8, and many more—featuring pieces spanning over 500 years of art history.

In addition to being open to the general public, the museum will serve as an educational hub for all local schools and students—many of whom have never had access to an art museum. This will be a first-of-its-kind opportunity in our region for youth to study the works of artists who have become legendary figures in art history, and to gain exposure to a diverse array of styles, mediums, and cultures.
We will also be featuring artist spotlights and hosting special events, where contributing artists will be invited to attend, speak, and engage with the public—offering unique opportunities to share your story and inspire future generations.

Project Title: That Pop-Up Restaurant
Project Description:

That Pop-Up Restaurant (TPUR) is a neighborhood-based summer initiative designed to improve stability, health, and developmental outcomes for children and young adults in Wichita, Kansas. When school is out, many youth lose access to reliable daily nutrition and structured environments that support growth and learning. TPUR addresses this gap by providing consistent, nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals in safe, welcoming community spaces throughout the summer.

In Summer 2026, TPUR will operate neighborhood-based meal sites five days per week for six weeks, serving an estimated 150–250 unduplicated youth and providing approximately 2,000 nutritious meals across breakfast, lunch, and dinner service. Consistent access to healthy meals supports physical health, sustained energy, concentration, and emotional well-being—key factors that influence academic engagement and long-term success.

Beyond meeting immediate nutritional needs, TPUR integrates structured youth engagement and leadership opportunities. Older youth assist with meal service operations, hospitality, and peer support, building responsibility, teamwork, communication skills, and confidence. These hands-on experiences strengthen readiness for the upcoming school year and future employment.

By combining reliable nutrition, skill-building, and positive adult engagement, TPUR helps create the stability and supportive relationships children and young adults need to thrive and move toward achieving their full potential.
