Project Title: Give A Kid A Cage or Clinic
Project Description:

The project responds directly to local needs by removing cost and access barriers to baseball/softball training, using an indoor space that kids can reliably and safely reach, and aligning with how similar Pittsburgh programs support underserved youth.
Many families struggle to afford pay‑to‑play sports and travel teams, which limits youth participation even when interest is high.
A low‑cost cage/clinic program at an existing training facility gives underserved kids structured instruction without equipment, league, or facility fees that often keep them out.
Communities benefit when there is a safe, supervised sports facility where youth can be active instead of staying home and sedentary, especially in bad weather or high‑risk neighborhoods.
Turbo Training facility offers climate‑controlled, year‑round space.
By intentionally targeting kids who face financial or geographic barriers and centering the program on a neighborhood facility, the project directly advances more equitable access to sport, physical activity, and positive adult mentorship.
