This initiative is designed to support pregnant and parenting teens in economically disadvantaged communities. This initiative will establish partnerships with three public schools to provide on-site pre- and postpartum support services that promote academic persistence, emotional stability, and life skills development.
Through structured Mommy Circle sessions and our creative “Paint My Feelings” emotional expression workshops, students will receive facilitated peer support, education on postpartum wellness, stress regulation strategies, and connection to community resources. These programs are designed to reduce isolation, improve coping skills, and strengthen students’ ability to remain engaged in school during pregnancy and the postpartum period.
The initiative will serve three schools during the school year. During this time, we will track participation, school engagement indicators, and self-reported measures of emotional well-being to assess program effectiveness. Evaluation findings will inform program refinement and long-term expansion.

A New Way To Live has started the D.R.E.A.M.E.R.S which is an acronym for Determined to Reach, Educate and Motivate Encouraged Responsible Students After-School Tutoring Program at Uncommon Grounds Cafe at 380 Franklin Ave in Aliquippa, Pa. Our mission is to encourage our at-risk young girls and boys ages 8 to 16, to build resilience through our after-school tutoring program and homework hub. This program works to help our girls and boys academically as well as building self-esteem and leadership. We operate Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm to 7:00pm and one Saturday per month for activities and movies. Providing a safe haven for the youth of the community to gather and have fun while learning new experiences and developing their own self-esteem to help empower themselves to respect their community and school. We have qualified mentors, facilitators, tutors and counselors to help them with their homework and to understand what is expected of them in the classroom from their teachers. We are taking an honest look at the perils, pitfalls and dangers that are placed upon our girls and boys with no direction in our community. There is drug and alcohol abuse, teen pregnancy, sexual abuse, violence and depression. There is a need to know when and where to turn when all else fails. Their environment can influence their behavior and give them motivation to achieve their goals.

This project will fund the hiring of a certified teacher with specialized literacy training to provide targeted one-on-one and small-group reading instruction four days per week (12 hours weekly). The literacy specialist will work with approximately 10–15 K–8 students who are reading below grade level and require focused intervention to strengthen phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
Funds will support instructional stipends and literacy assessment tools to track measurable growth. We respectfully request $5,000 to implement the Experience Curriculum and integrated child assessment tools through brightwheel at our newly established rural childcare center. As a small rural provider, we serve families with limited access to high-quality early learning opportunities. Many of the children enrolled come from underserved households where consistent, structured early education may not otherwise be available. Establishing a strong instructional foundation is essential to narrowing opportunity gaps before children enter kindergarten.

The Experience Curriculum offers research-based, developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned instruction that supports the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. Project Title: Launch Point Golf Academy
Project Description:

Kingdom Fitness Foundation Inc. seeks funding to implement our Youth Golf Clinic, a structured introductory program designed to provide underserved youth ages 7–17 in Warner Robins and surrounding communities—including Houston, Peach, and Bibb counties—with equitable access to the game of golf. Many youth in these areas face financial and access barriers that limit exposure to golf and other lifetime recreational sports. This initiative removes those barriers while promoting physical activity, discipline, confidence, and positive mentorship.

The inaugural clinic will be held April 4, 2026, at International City Golf Course and will serve up to 15 participants. Youth will receive hands-on instruction in core golf fundamentals including grip, stance, swing mechanics, putting, and course etiquette, delivered by experienced instructors and trained community volunteers.

Program outcomes will include increased youth participation in structured physical activity, improved understanding of golf fundamentals and etiquette, strengthened confidence and sportsmanship, and expanded access to positive mentor-led recreational opportunities.

Grant funds will support facility fees, instructional personnel, equipment access for participants without clubs, program materials, and administrative operations to ensure affordability for families. Kingdom Fitness Foundation is requesting funding at the foundation’s allowable grant level to support the launch of the April clinic and establish the infrastructure needed to scale the program. With adequate funding support, the Foundation will expand this initiative into a recurring monthly clinic, increasing annual youth reach and deepening community impact across Houston, Peach, and Bibb counties.

Our long-term goal is to introduce youth to a lifelong sport, build confidence and character, and create sustainable pathways for continued participation in healthy, structured activities throughout Middle Georgia.

Project Title: Parent Grade Level Leads
Project Description:

Parent Grade Level Leads (PGLs) is a family engagement strategy designed to strengthen the connection between home and school so more students in Racine Unified School District can succeed. With only 28% of third graders reading at grade level and 19% of eighth graders meeting math benchmarks, the district faces persistent academic gaps. Breaks in instruction widen these gaps, and many families—especially those navigating economic barriers—struggle to support learning at home under new instructional models. PGLs address this challenge by lifting up parents as partners, leaders, and advocates in their children’s education.

Each PGL is a parent trained in leadership, collaboration, and data-informed decision-making. Assigned to their child’s grade level, PGLs work closely with teachers, attend grade-level meetings, and help plan and co‑facilitate parent engagement activities. Their core role is simple but powerful: helping other parents understand what their children are learning and how to reinforce that learning at home. As one PGL shared, “A parent who helps other parents.” This peer-to-peer model builds trust, reduces barriers to participation, and creates a welcoming bridge between families and school staff.

The centerpiece of the strategy is monthly Lunch & Learn sessions, where families gather in classrooms to share a meal, learn about grade-level goals, and participate in hands-on activities aligned to classroom instruction. These events have transformed engagement at Knapp Elementary. Attendance has nearly tripled—from 26–40% during the Spring 2025 pilot to 74–85% in Fall 2025—and surveys show 94–100% of families find the sessions highly engaging and want more opportunities to participate. Parents are stepping into leadership roles, volunteering more often, and expressing greater confidence in supporting their children’s learning.

Project Description:

WHAT IS KIDPOWER-VIRGINIA?
Kidpower Virginia – serving residents of the State of Virginia – is the local grassroots office of a small (< 1.2M budget) community-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in Santa Cruz, CA in 1989. It teaches, coaches and PRACTICES (until integrated) non-scary child protection, positive peer interaction, and mental and behavioral relationship health and safety skills that help protect young people from (cyber)bullying, harassment, molestation, abduction, sex trafficking and other overt and insidious forms of mental and physical violence and abuse; and empower them to develop strong, healthy and safe relationships that enrich/transform their lives.

ISSUE:
We are facing an unprecedented national youth mental health and safety crisis. Young people struggle with high levels of conflicts, stress, anxiety, helplessness/despair/depression, suicide attempts, and other negative impacts on their mental and physical well-being that are driving many to a breaking point.

HOW WE PROPOSE TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE:
According to Dan Heath, the best-selling author of The Question to Solve Problems Before They Happen, "Kidpower works upstream to prevent and stop the harm and trauma caused by traumatic incidences.

Our $25,000 Initiative ‘Vaccine Against ACEs’ is aimed at equipping 250 of the most at-risk and vulnerable youth and their support systems throughout Virginia with prevention and restorative intervention tools and skills to keep themselves physically and emotionally healthy and safe. It will be conducted in collaboration with long term partner education, health and wellness organizations throughout Virginia.
