Project Title: Curriculum and Assessment
Project Description:
We respectfully request $5,000 to implement the Experience Curriculum and integrated child assessment tools through brightwheel at our newly established rural childcare center. This funding will cover one full year of curriculum access, digital lesson planning, developmental assessments, and progress reporting.
As a small rural provider, we serve families with limited access to high-quality early learning opportunities. Many of the children enrolled come from underserved households where consistent, structured early education may not otherwise be available. Establishing a strong instructional foundation is essential to narrowing opportunity gaps before children enter kindergarten.
The Experience Curriculum offers research-based, developmentally appropriate, standards-aligned instruction that supports the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. Through brightwheel’s integrated assessment tools, teachers will document observations, monitor developmental milestones, and use data to individualize instruction. In a rural setting, where readiness levels vary and early intervention resources may be limited, this intentional, data-informed approach is especially critical.
Without dedicated funding, small rural centers often rely on informal materials that lack consistency and measurable outcomes. This investment ensures our program begins with a cohesive, accountable educational framework that promotes school readiness and strengthens family engagement through transparent progress reporting.
By supporting this initiative, you will help ensure that rural children—regardless of income or circumstance—begin their educational journey with equitable access to high-quality early learning.
