Project Title: Intergenerational Wellness & Empowerment Initiative
Project Description:

LeeAngels Foundation seeks $7,500 to support its Intergenerational Wellness & Empowerment Initiative, a community-based program serving underserved seniors and youth in the Greater St. Louis area. The initiative addresses two pressing needs: social isolation among seniors and limited access to leadership development opportunities for youth in under-resourced communities.

Through structured mentorship, leadership workshops, and direct assistance, the program connects youth with seniors in meaningful engagement activities while providing tangible support such as hygiene kits, wellness supplies, and essential household items to seniors experiencing economic hardship.

Youth participants gain leadership skills, financial literacy education, civic engagement exposure, and structured volunteer experience that strengthens personal growth and community responsibility. Seniors benefit from improved social connection, enhanced well-being, and access to basic necessities that promote dignity and stability.

Over a 12-month period, the initiative will directly serve approximately 80 individuals, including 40 seniors and 40 youth participants. Funds will support program coordination, supplies for participants, and direct assistance materials.

This investment will strengthen community resilience, promote equitable opportunity, and foster intergenerational connection that creates lasting social impact.

Project Title: Heart and Soil acres Farm
Project Description:

The Vision:

At Heart and Soil Acres, the 1 by 1 Project imagines more than a farm — we envision a living, breathing community rooted in purpose, connection, and hope. This space will be a place where neighbors gather, hands in the soil and hearts aligned, rediscovering the beauty of growing together.

Our community garden spaces will offer open beds where families, seniors, and young people can grow their own food, share wisdom, and reconnect with the land in meaningful ways. Alongside these gardens, innovative hydroponic farms built within repurposed shipping containers will allow us to grow fresh, healthy produce year-round. By blending tradition with innovation, we’ll model a future where sustainability and creativity thrive side by side.

Heart and Soil Acres will also serve as an educational hub — a living classroom where curiosity grows as naturally as the crops. Through workshops, school partnerships, and hands-on experiences, children and adults alike will learn about science, nutrition, sustainability, and even entrepreneurship. It will be a place where knowledge takes root and confidence blooms.

Most importantly, this farm will be built on generosity. Through partnerships with local food banks, churches, and outreach organizations, the harvest will extend far beyond our gates. Fresh, nutrient-rich food will reach families who need it most, strengthening not just bodies, but the fabric of the community itself.

Heart and Soil Acres will stand as a symbol of what’s possible when people come together with intention — a space where growth happens in the soil, in minds, and in lives.

Beat the Streets, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Smart Tech Community Resource Center in Antioch, California that provides free educational, vocational, and life skills services to at-risk, low-income youth and young adults ages 11–29 in East Contra Costa County. We are seeking support for our Youth Pathways to Education, Work, and Stability project, which helps young people who are out of school, unemployed, justice-involved, in foster care, or unstably housed to complete their education and transition into living‑wage employment.

The project offers three integrated service areas: 1) educational support, including tutoring, high school equivalency (GED/HiSET) preparation, digital literacy, and homework help; 2) workforce development, including job readiness workshops, resume and interview coaching, job search assistance, and connections to local employers and apprenticeships; and 3) life skills and stability services, including financial literacy, housing navigation, basic‑needs support, and individualized case management.

A $10,000 grant will be used entirely for direct program costs: part‑time instructional hours, youth stipends and transportation assistance, educational and life‑skills materials, and basic‑needs support such as snacks, hygiene items, and school supplies. This support will enable approximately 60 unduplicated youth to participate consistently in tutoring, job readiness training, and life‑skills workshops over 9–12 months. The majority of participants are Black, Latino, and multiracial youth from households below 200% of the federal poverty level. Project Title: Dream It & Build It: Empowering Foster Youth Through Confidence and Care
Project Description:

Hopeful Hair Inc. respectfully requests $10,000 to support Dream It! and Build It!, two integrated programs serving children and youth in foster care across Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Children in foster care frequently experience disruptions in identity, self-esteem, and emotional stability. Many lack access to culturally appropriate hair care and positive self-image development, which can negatively impact school engagement, peer relationships, and mental well-being.

Dream It! provides professional hair makeovers and grooming services delivered by licensed stylists who understand diverse hair textures and needs. For many youth, this is their first experience receiving consistent, affirming personal care. These services restore dignity, boost confidence, and create a sense of normalcy during uncertain transitions.

Build It! complements these services with structured confidence-building workshops focused on hygiene education, communication skills, emotional resilience, and self-identity development. Youth participate in guided discussions and activities that promote healthy self-perception and long-term personal growth.

In 2026, Hopeful Hair aims to directly serve more than 150 foster youth ages 5–18. Grant funding will support stylist stipends, culturally appropriate hair care supplies, workshop materials, and program delivery costs.

By investing in early confidence formation and emotional wellness, this project helps transform the lives of vulnerable children—equipping them with the tools to look good, feel good, and ultimately do good.

Project Title: Safer Community Teen Leadership Initiative
Project Description:

The Safer Community Project is a year-round leadership and character development initiative serving teens ages 12–18 in Broward County, particularly in the 33319 zip code, where poverty and community violence impact daily life. Many of the young people we serve are carrying more than backpacks. They carry stress, grief, pressure, and uncertainty about their future.

We created Safer Community as a preventative space — where teens are not judged or reduced to statistics, but seen as leaders in the making.

Each week, youth gather in a structured, supportive environment that begins with mindfulness and grounding practices to strengthen emotional regulation and focus. Sessions move into conflict resolution, nonviolent communication, leadership development, and honest conversations about responsibility, choices, and vision. Participants are paired with consistent mentors who model accountability, compassion, and high expectations.

The program goes beyond conversation. Teens engage in meaningful community service projects that allow them to practice leadership in real time — building confidence while contributing to their schools and neighborhoods.

Safer Community is rooted in prevention. When teens learn to pause before reacting, communicate instead of escalating, and see themselves as capable and valued, discipline issues decrease and hope increases. We are interrupting patterns before they harden.

At Dreamcatchers for the Soul, we believe young people rise when surrounded with structure, love, and belief in who they can become. Safer Community helps them grow from the inside out into resilient leaders who strengthen their families and communities.

Students will also have their resumed include in a curated Resume Book shared with corporate partners to increase internship and employment visibility.

Project Title: Operation Youth Build
Project Description:

Operation Youth Build (OYB) serves over 1,000 low-income, minority, and mentally challenged at-risk youth (ages 6–18) annually in our facility in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as online. TUAC defines at-risk youth as young people requiring temporary or ongoing intervention to succeed academically. According to the St. Louis Post Dispatch (January 2026;ed 2( c), the “St. Louis public school system has lost its accreditation. This can cause low student self esteem and lead to criminal delinquency.” OYB not only tutors youth in STEAM, AI, and coding in our facility, but also mentors them. This program was primarily established to help such youth go on to college or trade school and remain out of gangs and the penal system. OYB functions yearly, both during the school year and during the summer months, as a computer camp as well. We at TUAC believe that education is key to making our youth more productive and self-sufficient in their lives and careers. We at TUAC also believe that "it does take a village to raise a child."This grant will help us contract over 500 mentor/tutors who will help our clients in STEAM mentorships. It should also be mentioned that OYB utilizes qualitative and quantitative client entrance and exit surveys to assess each yearly class.
OYB has staff that are well versed in their respective professions. They include teachers,
counselors, and mentors. OYB has been in operation for over 15 years. OYB operates via:
1.) Client referral via teacher and parent recommendation (Month 1)
2.) Client assessed for tutoring/mentoring needs (Months 2-12)
3.) Client matched with a tutor/mentor that matches client needs (Months 2-12)
4.) Client tutored in STEAM and is mentored according to their individual needs (Months 2-12)
