Project Title: Foundations for the Future: Early Literacy at Mosdos Chinuch of Hollywood
Project Description:
Mosdos Chinuch of Hollywood (MCH) is an Orthodox Jewish elementary school serving the growing Jewish community of Broward County. Our mission is to provide students with a strong foundation in both Torah values and academic excellence, nurturing children who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and prepared for lifelong learning. As our school continues to grow, we remain committed to strengthening the academic foundations that support each child’s long-term success.
MCH is seeking support to enhance literacy and foundational learning opportunities for our early elementary students. The early years of education are critical for developing strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills that will support students throughout their academic careers. Our project focuses on expanding literacy resources, strengthening classroom instruction, and equipping teachers with tools that allow them to better meet the needs of diverse learners.
Grant funding will support the purchase of high-quality reading materials, classroom literacy resources, and instructional tools designed to support differentiated learning in early elementary classrooms. Funds will also help provide professional development for teachers so they can implement evidence-based literacy strategies and provide individualized support to students at varying reading levels.
These resources will enable our educators to create engaging learning environments where students develop confidence in their reading abilities, strengthen comprehension skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning. By investing in early literacy development, we aim to ensure that every student builds the strong academic foundation necessary for future success.
Beyond academic growth, this initiative also supports the broader mission of MCH by helping students grow into thoughtful, capable individuals who are deeply connected to their Jewish values and community. Strengthening literacy and foundational learning skills empowers our students to thrive both in the classroom and in their future educational journeys.
