Project Title: Afterschool Performing Arts Program for Underserved Youth in Dallas
Project Description:
Texas Supremacy of Music & Arts Conservatory (TSMAC) seeks support to expand its Afterschool Performing Arts Program serving underserved youth in Dallas, Texas. The program provides free or low-cost training in step, dance, drill, music, and leadership development for middle and high school students from low-income communities.
Through structured afterschool programming, students receive professional instruction, mentorship, and opportunities to perform in community events and competitions. The program promotes discipline, teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence while offering a safe and supportive environment during afterschool hours.
Many youth in Southern Dallas face limited access to arts education due to funding cuts in schools and economic barriers. TSMAC addresses this gap by providing culturally relevant performing arts instruction that keeps students engaged, motivated, and connected to positive peer networks.
Funding will support instructor stipends, rehearsal space, uniforms, performance equipment, and program supplies. The program is expected to serve approximately 50–75 students annually through weekly practices, workshops, and performances.
By investing in performing arts education, this program helps youth build valuable life skills, improve academic engagement, and develop pathways toward leadership and creative expression within their communities.
