Project Title: Ghostlight Youth Academy
Project Description:

Ghostlight Productions seeks support from the Hermanowski Family Foundation to expand Ghostlight Summer Academy, an intensive youth musical theatre program serving children and teens across the Olympic Peninsula. Our Summer Academy provides high‑quality instruction in acting, dance, and vocal performance, offering young people a safe, supportive, and creatively challenging environment where they can develop artistic skills, build confidence, and discover their own potential.
As a small nonprofit serving a rural region with limited access to arts education, Ghostlight is committed to ensuring that all youth—regardless of financial circumstance—can participate. Funding from the Hermanowski Family Foundation will directly support teaching artist stipends, classroom and rehearsal materials, choreography and music resources, costumes, and production supplies. These elements are essential to delivering a professional‑level educational experience that remains affordable for families.
Ghostlight Summer Academy engages students ages 8–18 in a structured curriculum that blends technique training with hands‑on rehearsal and performance opportunities. Participants learn foundational and advanced skills in movement, character development, ensemble work, vocal technique, and stagecraft. Beyond artistic growth, the program fosters teamwork, discipline, communication, and self‑expression—skills that benefit young people far beyond the stage.
Grant support will allow us to increase enrollment capacity, strengthen our instructional team, and expand scholarship availability so that no student is turned away. All funds will be fully utilized within the grant year, in alignment with Foundation guidelines .
By investing in Ghostlight Summer Academy, the Hermanowski Family Foundation will help empower young people in our community with meaningful arts education, mentorship, and creative opportunity—equipping them with tools to thrive both artistically and personally.
