Project Title: College READY
Project Description:

Grace & Mercy Center of Hope’s College READY initiative equips disadvantaged and underrepresented college students with the academic, personal, and leadership skills necessary for persistence and successful post-graduation transition.
The program operates through two developmentally aligned tracks: READY to Build (Freshmen & Sophomores), which focuses on foundational readiness and self-management, and READY to Thrive (Juniors & Seniors), which emphasizes leadership development, career preparation, and workforce transition.
College READY is guided by a structured five-module framework that integrates goal setting, resilience development, academic and professional skill-building, leadership growth, and reflective practice. Students progress through a phased implementation model that moves them from self-assessment and vision-setting to applied skill development and demonstrated competency.
READY to Build strengthens academic planning, time management, communication, emotional regulation, financial literacy, and identity development—critical skills that support retention during the most vulnerable college years. READY to Thrive advances executive presence, collaboration, conflict resolution, networking, and post-graduation planning to ensure students are prepared to enter the workforce with confidence and clarity.
Program success is measured through participation rates, skill acquisition benchmarks, self-efficacy assessments, academic persistence indicators, and demonstrated career readiness outcomes.
Through College READY, students gain more than knowledge; they build resilience, leadership capacity, and a clear pathway toward academic completion and long-term professional success.
