Project Title: Elevate Youth Program
Project Description:

The Elevate Youth Program is a summer workforce readiness and leadership development program serving high school students in the Birmingham area. The program operates in two four-week sessions and provides academic support, career exposure, and life skills development for youth who may not otherwise have access to structured summer opportunities. Participants receive math and reading support, ACT preparation, job readiness training, leadership development, volunteer service opportunities, and exposure to career pathways through guest speakers and hands-on learning experiences.

Elevate focuses on preparing students for long-term success by connecting education with workforce expectations and providing mentorship, structured learning, and real-world exposure. Students receive meals and daily support to reduce participation barriers and ensure consistent engagement. The program partners with local businesses, churches, and community leaders who provide mentorship, career presentations, and enrichment opportunities. Funding will support instruction, student meals, program supplies, transportation assistance, and enrichment activities while increasing participation capacity and strengthening long-term workforce readiness outcomes for youth.
