Project Title: NativeLove
Project Description:

NativeLove is a youth-centered initiative of the National Indigenous Women’s Resource Center (NIWRC) designed to uplift Native youth as leaders in restoring safety, cultural strength, and sovereignty in their communities. Originally launched as a national campaign to spark dialogue about healthy relationships and reclaim traditional understandings of love, NativeLove is now evolving into a structured leadership and career development pathway.

This expanded project will establish a NativeLove Youth Leadership Cohort that provides mentorship, cultural connectedness, advocacy training, and healing-centered support. Youth participants will engage in curriculum focused on Tribal sovereignty, healthy relationships, legal literacy, public safety systems, and economic justice.

By addressing the intersection of violence, economic instability, and historical trauma, this initiative invests in Native youth as protectors, innovators, and change-makers. NativeLove prepares the next generation not only to imagine safer futures but to actively build them through leadership, opportunity, and cultural grounding.
