Project Title: Three Virtues Food Pantry Program
Project Description:
The Three Virtues Organization (3V) bridges access and opportunity gaps for minority families in Monroe and Dade counties. Through education, empowerment, and advocacy, we cultivate a supportive environment rooted in faith, hope, and love, empowering families to overcome challenges and achieve lasting success.
The participants of our programming are low-income, immigrant, migrant worker, and refugee families. They are adapting to new political, legal, economic, and cultural systems while also learning English.
We know that access to nutritious food and essential hygiene products is a fundamental right for all members of our community. 3V provides at least 75 pounds of food and hygiene products to over 150 families monthly. Our mini-pantry serves as an emergency food source distributed on an as-needed basis. In the past half year, we have increased the number of families participating in our food programs.
In addition to our core food offerings, we implement several seasonal initiatives based on community needs and available funding, including:
Little Yummies Food Pantry Services: Specialized support for families with children aged 0–5.
Seasonal Savoring: A nourishment initiative for families in migrant worker camps.
All programs are offered in a culturally and linguistically attuned manner. This includes not only the types of food we provide, but also marketing and programmatic materials.
By the end of 2027, 3V will empower at least 1,000 under-resourced immigrant, migrant, and refugee individuals in South Miami-Dade County by increasing their access to food resources, with at least 75% of families reporting improved self-sufficiency and reduced food insecurity, as measured through intake assessments and follow-up surveys.
We believe our mutual missions are closely aligned, as we both aim to empower children and youth, address their well-being and basic needs, such as food and emergency support, and provide a scalable, community-centered model.
