Project Description:

Reaching for the Stars is a dynamic after-school and summer enrichment program dedicated to empowering children and young adults up to age 21 with the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to thrive. Through an integrated approach spanning arts, education, and wellness, we create safe, nurturing spaces where young people discover their potential and build a foundation for lifelong success.
Our program delivers hands-on arts instruction, academic support, and health and wellness activities that complement classroom learning and address the whole child. From creative expression through visual arts, music, and performance to tutoring, mentorship, and life skills development, every element is designed to inspire curiosity, resilience, and leadership.
With support from the Charles and Joan Hermanowski Family Foundation, Reaching for the Stars will expand access to high-quality enrichment experiences for youth who need them most. Grant funds will directly support program staffing, materials, and resources that keep our doors open before and after school and throughout the summer months — ensuring no child is left without a safe, enriching place to grow.
