Project Title: Shiloh Project Lift Summer Learning
Project Description:

Shiloh Project lift summer learning will be like the previous summer learning of 4-weeks intense instruction, music arts, sports with the summer feeding program diet and nutrition, June 1 to June 25 ,2026.
This summer learning will be steeped in gardening opportunities with exploration of St. John History for the publication of their findings in a newsletter that will be circulated at the closing event, the book bag drive on June 27,2026. at churches and amongst the population.
The St. John school has a comparable history, many of the individuals residing in this community attended the school and have an interest in the publication of that legacy.
Along with history, there will be the inclusion of visits from the SC Governors School of the arts, we are expecting Drama, Music, and Visual Arts to be included in our program.
One highlight of last year’s program was the Financial Literacy, youth discussed budgets, saving, business, buying etc. all of which exposed the participants to everyday math.

The Summer Learning program will be concluded with further historical study in South Carolina and finally, the youngster will have a real fun day of some type of water play, to be determined The young have about three hours of direct academic engagement along with the sports play outside, diet and nutrition, per day. In a safe supervised caring environment of instruction that prevents the summer learning lapse.
