Project Title: Strengthening Access and Sustainability in Early Childhood Education
Project Description:

The project, Strengthening Access and Sustainability in Early Childhood Education, is a one-year initiative designed to expand affordability and stabilize operations at Catonsville Cooperative Preschool, ensuring continued access to high-quality, play-based learning for children ages 18 months to five.

Grant funds will be used to provide targeted tuition assistance for families experiencing financial barriers, strengthen staffing and administrative capacity during a period of increased enrollment demand, and enhance classroom and outdoor learning environments with updated materials that support child-led exploration and development.

Over the project year, CCP will serve approximately 60–70 children and their families, prioritizing inclusive access for households navigating rising childcare costs. Key outcomes will include increased enrollment stability, reduced financial hardship for families, improved staff support and retention, and enriched learning spaces that promote social-emotional growth, physical development, and early literacy readiness.

Project progress will be evaluated through enrollment data, family feedback, financial accessibility outcomes, and classroom observations to ensure funds are fully utilized within the grant year and produce measurable impact.
