Benevolent Hearts, Incorporated, is requesting $10,000 in grant funds to expand and enhance its current programming for youth ages 5-21 in the United States.
The mission of Benevolent Hearts is to encourage and enable youth to become positive, responsible, and contributing members of the local community by “Touching One Heart at A Time”. Benevolent Hearts Inc.
Effective Afterschool programs bring a wide range of benefits to youth, families and communities. Afterschool programs can boost academic performance, reduce risky behaviors, promote physical health, and provide a safe, structured environment for the children of working parents. STEM education in the U.S. is increasing in popularity—more schools have implemented STEM learning into their curriculum and making it an integral part of what they teach. There are a number of benefits of STEM education for young learners and Benevolent Hearts believes in the approach. During Benevolent Hearts STEM education activities, students learn in a safe environment.
