Project Description:

LeeAngels Foundation seeks $7,500 to support its Intergenerational Wellness & Empowerment Initiative, a community-based program serving underserved seniors and youth in the Greater St. Louis area. The initiative addresses two pressing needs: social isolation among seniors and limited access to leadership development opportunities for youth in under-resourced communities.

Through structured mentorship, leadership workshops, and direct assistance, the program connects youth with seniors in meaningful engagement activities while providing tangible support such as hygiene kits, wellness supplies, and essential household items to seniors experiencing economic hardship.

Youth participants gain leadership skills, financial literacy education, civic engagement exposure, and structured volunteer experience that strengthens personal growth and community responsibility. Seniors benefit from improved social connection, enhanced well-being, and access to basic necessities that promote dignity and stability.

Over a 12-month period, the initiative will directly serve approximately 80 individuals, including 40 seniors and 40 youth participants. Funds will support program coordination, supplies for participants, and direct assistance materials.

This investment will strengthen community resilience, promote equitable opportunity, and foster intergenerational connection that creates lasting social impact.
