Project Title: Stage 26 Youth Healing Mic & Culinary Arts Initiative
Project Description:

Yes U Can Foundation NFP seeks support for the Stage 26 Youth Healing Mic & Culinary Arts Initiative, a youth-centered program designed to provide creative expression, mentorship, and life-skill development for young people ages 13–21 in the Chicago area.
The initiative combines structured spoken-word and music workshops with introductory culinary arts experiences that encourage teamwork, confidence, and emotional wellness. Youth participants engage in guided open-mic sessions, storytelling activities, and community meal preparation while learning basic hospitality and creative skills in a safe and supportive environment.
The program focuses on empowering youth through arts and culture while promoting positive social engagement and healthy outlets for self-expression. Funds from the Hermanowski Family Foundation will help provide program materials, food supplies for youth-led community meals, workshop resources, and small youth participation stipends.
Activities will be fully implemented within one year and will directly benefit young people through mentorship, cultural engagement, and hands-on learning opportunities.
