Project Title: Forge Academy
Project Description:

American boys face a documented crisis. Suicide rates for males ages 10-24 increased 56% between 2007-2021. Academic disengagement, digital addiction, and social isolation compound into what researchers call "the boy problem." Traditional youth programs address symptoms through therapy or skills training. We address the root cause: young men never learned to regulate their nervous systems under stress.
The Forge Academy is a 12-week program serving boys ages 12-17 that integrates evidence-based emotional regulation techniques with leadership development. We teach breathwork, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), and somatic awareness as operational tools before layering cognitive skills. This "foundation-first" approach works because the nervous system doesn’t care about demographics – these techniques work equally for justice-involved youth and prep school students.
