NAMI Kansas Front Porch Resource Center in Topeka, Kansas is an established, newly relocated, walk-in community space that has served as a recognizable and trusted point of connection for years. Members of the community know they can come here to ask questions, access free mental health education and support groups, connect with peers, and receive help navigating mental health resources without the fear of stigma or the complication of appointments or referrals. The Front Porch Resource Center is intentionally designed to feel approachable and familiar, reducing barriers for individuals who may be unsure where to turn or hesitant to seek help through more formal systems.

Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): NAMI Kansas sustains the Front Porch Resource Center through a combination of individual giving, organizational partnerships, and diversified funding sources. We have a consistent individual donor pool as well as multiple organizations that provide both in-kind and financial support. NAMI Kansas also engages with the community by hosting fundraising events throughout the year such as online appeals, social media campaigns, Giving Tuesday, our annual, nationally-recognized NAMIWalks Kansas, and other targeted fundraising campaigns. Together, these funding streams support the long-term sustainability of the Front Porch Resource Center and allow it to remain accessible, responsive, and community-centered.
