Project Description:

Nurturing Little Seeds Family Resource Center (FRC) is a startup initiative dedicated to supporting families in Waupaca County by providing accessible, high-quality resources, programs, and services that promote healthy child development, family well-being, and community engagement. Our mission is to create a welcoming, inclusive space where families—regardless of background or income—can access educational opportunities, social support, and hands-on learning experiences.

The FRC will focus on early childhood development, literacy, and school readiness while offering programs that strengthen family bonds, improve parenting skills, and enhance social-emotional learning. Key initiatives will include parent-child workshops, literacy and STEM-focused activities, developmental screenings, caregiver support groups, and community events that connect families with local resources. Special attention will be given to underserved populations, including families who are homeschooling, families with limited access to early learning programs, and those facing economic or social barriers.

Nurturing Little Seeds will operate according to the Wisconsin Family Resource Center Best Practice Guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality across all programming. Our approach emphasizes family-centered services, culturally responsive practices, and data-informed decision-making. By integrating protective factors such as parental resilience, social connections, and access to concrete support, we aim to empower families to thrive and children to reach their full potential.

Sustainability is a central focus. In addition to initial grant funding, the FRC will pursue community partnerships, local fundraising, and collaborative initiatives with schools, healthcare providers, and local businesses to ensure long-term viability.

By providing a centralized hub of support, Nurturing Little Seeds Family Resource Center seeks to strengthen the foundation for family well-being, enhance early learning outcomes, and cultivate a connected, resilient, and thriving community.
