Project Title: Level Up Program
Project Description:

Level Up is a six-week, full-day summer enrichment program that strengthens early literacy, increases self-esteem, and fosters positive attitudes toward learning for children from under-resourced families. The curriculum centers on five components: high-quality academic enrichment; parent and family involvement; civic engagement; intergenerational leadership development; and nutrition, health, and mental-health supports. Children read culturally responsive books paired with activities, field trips, and games that reinforce instruction. Instructors teach conflict resolution and critical thinking, engage children in community service, and encourage participation in art and athletics. The program is staffed primarily by trained college-age young adults and provides two USDA-compliant meals and a snack each program day.
