Project Title: Smart Money Moves: Youth Financial Empowerment Program
Project Description:

Smart Money Moves is a targeted financial literacy and entrepreneurship education program designed for Rhode Island youth aged 14–21. Delivered by Sin-cere Multiservice Inc., the program equips participants with essential life skills in budgeting, saving, credit management, employment readiness, and introductory entrepreneurship.

This grant will support the delivery of our 4- and 8-session tracks that include bilingual instruction (English and Spanish), one-on-one mentorship, and incentives to support consistent attendance and completion. Sessions are delivered virtually or in-person, with childcare and access accommodations to ensure inclusivity. Participants also receive personalized action plans and a certificate of completion.

With Hermanowski Foundation’s support, we will serve 50 youth over a one-year period, prioritizing individuals from underserved communities, including those involved with reentry programs or experiencing systemic economic barriers. Youth will leave with the tools and confidence to make informed financial decisions, prepare for employment, and begin entrepreneurial journeys.

The requested $10,000 will help cover the cost of instruction, participant incentives, printed materials, and technology tools to increase accessibility for youth who lack internet or devices. Our program aligns with the Foundation’s goals by directly supporting young adults in their personal and economic development through an educational lens that promotes independence, stability, and long-term growth.
