Project Title: Empty Bowls
Project Description:

Our Art department would like to hold an Empty Bowls charity event that raises awareness and funds to combat hunger in local communities. It began in the early 1990s when art teachers and students created handmade ceramic bowls and hosted a simple meal to raise money for food-related charities. Many of our students and families live below the poverty line and this would be an excellent way students can support our most vulnerable populations through a creative endeavor.
