Project Title: Reading Assistance Program
Project Description:

Our FREE Reading Assistance Program (literacy intervention) is designed to support 2nd through 6th grade students who are reading at 2nd or 3rd grade level and are at risk of falling further behind. Reading proficiency by third grade is crucial as it marks the transition from “learning to read” to “reading to learn,” making early intervention essential for academic success and long-term achievement.

Through small-group and 1-1 instruction focused on foundational literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, and writing, we aim to accelerate learning and build reading confidence to ensure students are prepared for academic success.

The goal is to increase reading proficiency and confidence in these struggling readers and help them meet or exceed grade-level expectations. By building strong literacy foundations, this program empowers students to fully engage with the curriculum, reduce the risk of future academic failure, and foster a lifelong love of reading.
