Project Title: Young Leaders of Tomorrow
Project Description:

Young Leaders of Tomorrow is an online based program that focuses on the uplifting of young male students from the Belle Glade and Boynton Beach Communities. The program opens the dialogue with student cultivating career decision making through personality test, and research that the students engage in. They interact with professionals from many different industries to discuss their journey, and hopefully give students who are seeking a career in that industry can learn more about the path or even gain an opportunity for internship if that career allows. The program runs 10 weeks starting March 113, 2021 – May 22, 2021 in conjunction with our All Nets Basketball Club program a grassroots basketball program that serves students ages 12-18 participate in the game of basketball and helps them to take charge of their recruiting process to earn admission to college. The Young Leaders of tomorrow plan is a requirement for admission to the team and the tournaments that we play in, and all students must have a 3.0 GPA or higher or are enrolled in our Study Sessions program where All Nets provides homework help twice a week. While this is a summer program the grant will focus on continuing the programming into the fall semester, and hopefully allow us to at least double the number of students. From last summer we have grown from 12 to 35 students and feel confident in our ability to continue sustained growth by offering the program to younger students and expanding the sports we cover.
