Project Title: Girls on the Run – Paterson Empowerment & Fitness Initiative
Project Description:

Girls on the Run is a nationally recognized program that combines physical activity with social-emotional learning. We are seeking funding to expand our program at Paterson School 20, a Title 1 school, to provide underserved girls with structured, confidence-building fitness sessions and life skills education.
This program serves girls in grades 3–8 from Paterson’s Eastside neighborhood—primarily low-income, Black and Latino families. Many girls lack access to safe, inclusive fitness spaces and female role models. GOTR addresses health disparities, self-esteem issues, and limited physical activity by providing a supportive, coach-led environment with proven outcomes.

Sources For The Project (Committed & Potential): We have 3 volunteer coaches from School 20 for the spring 2026 season. We are hoping to continue with our 5th season in the spring of 2026.
