Project Title: Taylor Made Futbol Initiative Academy Launch
Project Description:

Taylor Made Futbol Initiative is excited to announce the launch of its first education and soccer academy, set to begin in Fall 2025. This groundbreaking initiative is in partnership with Villarreal CF, a premier professional La Liga soccer club to specifically elevate low income communities with mental, physical, and educational training.
As TMFI’s flagship program, the Academy will offer 250 inner-city youth of South Florida access to Villarreal’s world-class training philosophy and coaching, providing a transformative experience for K-8 aged students, aspiring soccer coaches, and promising club managers.
TMFI’s mission is to break down the systemic barriers inherent in the U.S. "pay-to-play" soccer model, which often excludes talented youth from disadvantaged backgrounds. By adopting the European model of soccer development, the Academy’s comprehensive approach addresses all facets of youth growth, including technical skills, nutrition, academics, behavior, and psycho-social development. This holistic approach not only nurtures athletes on the field but also helps them grow as well-rounded, contributing members of society.
Through a strategic partnership with Villarreal CF, top coaches will be brought to Florida on three-year contracts to work directly with students, providing unparalleled opportunities for their development. TMFI envisions creating a pathway to excellence where young players can seamlessly progress from grassroots development to professional-level field and back office training.
In addition to its collaboration with Villarreal, TMFI is also partnered with America SCORES, a respected organization offering free after-school and summer programs that combine soccer, poetry, and service-learning. Rooted in the Dade County, FL community, TMFI works closely with local schools and nonprofits, ensuring that our soccer programs are accessible to a broad and diverse community, with a focus on empowering Black and Latino youth.
TMFI is dedicated to transforming lives, growing the sport, and creating meaningful opportunities for youth to succeed on and off the field.
