Key Focus Areas:
Emerging Technologies – Students gain hands-on experience with 3D printing, robotics, cybersecurity, software development, and more to prepare for future careers.
Digital Media & Design – The center integrates photography, videography, animation, and 3D design to foster creative problem-solving and technical proficiency in the digital arts.
Career & Technical Training – Through industry-aligned courses, certifications, and mentorship, participants develop job-ready skills in engineering, coding, business, and entrepreneurship.
Experiential Learning – The center offers internships, apprenticeships, and industry tours, connecting students with leading tech firms, local businesses, and research labs.
Educator Training & Community Engagement – Teachers receive professional development to incorporate STEAM learning into classrooms, participate in fieldtrips to The Center, while outreach programs engage families and the broader community.
The STEAM Center of Excellence bridges the gap between education and industry, providing New Mexico’s youth with the skills needed to compete in the 21st century.
