Project Title: CISNC’s Jobs for NC’s Graduates
Project Description:
Jobs for North Carolina’s Graduates (JNCG) is a transformative initiative of Communities In Schools of North Carolina (CISNC) designed to equip high school students with the skills and knowledge necessary for post-secondary education and career success. Through a comprehensive approach that includes in-class instruction, career exposure, college tours, and job readiness training, JNCG provides students with the resources and support needed to navigate their future pathways successfully.
JNCG has demonstrated significant success in advancing student achievement, with measurable outcomes that highlight the program’s effectiveness:
***A consistently high graduation rate among JNCG seniors.
***A significant percentage of students securing employment, enrolling in college, or pursuing vocational training post-graduation.
***Increased student engagement in career readiness activities, including internships, apprenticeships, and mentorship opportunities.
***Strengthened community connections between students, businesses, and higher education institutions.
A notable initiative within the program is Jumpstart Jobs Week, which offers interactive career lessons, skill-building workshops, and direct engagement with employers. This initiative serves as a bridge between students and industry professionals, reinforcing the importance of workplace readiness and career planning.
