At North Bay Haven Elementary, we believe in creating a school culture that ignites excitement, encourages movement, and builds community. Inspired by the Ron Clark Academy, we’re taking engagement to the next level—literally—with a stairwell slide that turns transitions into celebrations and sparks joy in every student.

This isn’t just about fun—it’s about creating an atmosphere where students want to be. When students are excited to enter the building, they’re more energized to learn. The slide will serve as a reward, a motivator, and a memory-maker, reinforcing positive behavior and academic achievement. Whether it’s a student who hit a reading milestone or a class that crushed their math goals, sliding becomes the ultimate symbol of success.

By bringing movement and play into the school day, we’re also supporting focus, reducing anxiety, and encouraging collaboration. It builds a culture of celebration—where effort is applauded and students feel seen.

This unique feature will be tied into our house system, PBIS rewards, and academic challenges, making it a powerful tool for reinforcing the values we strive to instill: respect, enthusiasm, grit, and a love for learning.

We’re not just building a slide—we’re building momentum. And when kids are this excited to come to school, there’s no limit to how far they can go.
