Project Title: Job Ready Program
Project Description:

In a city where 42.3% of all children under the age of 18 live below the federal poverty level (US Census Bureau 2018), it is critical that SBGC continue to provide no- or low-cost access to high-quality youth development programming, despite rising organizational costs. Our Job Ready Program provides youth ages 13-16 with job readiness skill development opportunities to enable youth to break the cycle of poverty.

We will use funds to offer all teens interested in a job within the club during the school year and summer months. Teens 13-16 years old will be given 15 hours of work per week. The weekly stipend is $75, and paid during the regular Club pay cycle. They are also instructed on resume writing, mock interviewing, dress for success, and money matters.
