Project Title: Quest Kids Scholarships
Project Description:
Quest’s mission is to help people with developmental disabilities experience a full life. For over 60 years, Quest has transformed the lives of thousands of adults and children with developmental and intellectual disabilities such as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and other diagnoses through a range of customized services proven to increase capabilities and quality of life. This starts with Quest Kids programs. Quest Kids Therapy serves children ages 15 months – 18 years old, utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) early intervention therapy. This personalized therapy helps prepare young children for school by incorporating academics and classroom skills into behavioral goals.
Quest Kids Academy enrolls children starting at age five and extends through 21. Student/Teacher ratios vary between 6:1 to 2:1 with customized curriculum levels built for learners of every age and ability. When a child turns 14, they move into the Quest for Living program to focus on building vocational, independent living, and life skills. Graduating students are better prepared for their transition to adulthood.
When a family receives a diagnosis for their child, they want answers immediately. When they turn to Quest, the teams work closely with the families to put together an individualized plan with wraparound services. Often, these plans are derailed due to financial limitations and/or insurance difficulties. Quest started the Scholarship Program to assist these families.
Quest is respectfully seeking $7,500 to provide therapy and tuition scholarships to low-income students with developmental disabilities, ensuring healthcare and education is accessible to everyone, regardless of financial status. To confirm funds are going to families with the highest need, all applications and financial documents are reviewed by the internal scholarship committee. Scholarships are used to help children start therapy quicker, prevent interruptions in services, receive the recommended amount, and cover academy tuition.
