Project Description:

T4B’s vision is, “Together for Brothers (T4B) envisions health and health equity for boys and young men of color (BYMOC) as well as their families and communities.” T4B’s mission is “Together for Brothers, led by community & love, partners across NM with boys & young men of color (BYMOC) & allies to build power, demand justice & create change.”

T4B 2025 goals include 1) co-leading campaigns for equitable access to healthy and local food, healthier and safer Central Avenue, improved biking/outdoor infrastructure and mobility justice including accessible and affordable public transit, low and no emission public transit buses and vans, safe buses and bus stops as well as biking, walking and rolling for people with disabilities; 2) collaborating with Albuquerque Transit Riders Union, America the Beautiful for All (ATB4A) Urban Parks & Green Space Work Group, Community Wealth Building, Healthy Here and Healthy Masculinities; 3) co-hosting community activities and meetings like Bike Thru Burque, Bike to Wherever Day, CiQlovia, National Day of Racial Healing and Transit Equity Day; 4) collaborating with community partners including core community partners and others connected to T4B’s values and goals; and 5) building capacity of groups and individual BYMOC, their families and communities including transit riders to be leaders at all levels and organize in their communities.
