Project Title: Level Up Literacy
Project Description:

The Level Up Literacy Project is a transformative initiative designed to help disadvantaged youth in inner-city Atlanta overcome post-COVID learning loss and build strong literacy skills. Many students from low-income communities continue to struggle with reading proficiency, impacting their academic success and future opportunities. AIM is launching this program to provide targeted literacy support, ensuring that children have the resources and guidance needed to "level up" their reading abilities and confidence.

This program will offer one-on-one tutoring, small-group reading clubs, and family literacy nights to create a comprehensive literacy support system. Students will receive personalized reading instruction from trained volunteers, mentors, and literacy coordinators, focusing on phonics, comprehension, and writing skills. Additionally, AIM will integrate literacy components into its summer programs, ensuring that students continue to make progress year-round.

The Level Up Literacy Project will also equip families with tools and strategies to support reading at home, strengthening literacy development beyond the classroom. Book distributions, digital literacy resources, and reading incentives will encourage students to develop a lifelong love for reading.

By investing in personalized instruction, community engagement, and faith-driven mentorship, AIM’s Level Up Literacy Project will empower at-risk youth with the skills and confidence they need to achieve long-term academic success.
