Project Title: BRYC Core Programs 2015-2016
Project Description:

BRYC’s Core Programs are the weekly, grade-specific initiatives in which our 160 high-school-aged “Fellows” will participate from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. Ranging from leadership seminars to writing courses, and ACT prep to college mentoring, BRYC’s Core Programs focus on where Fellows are in their personal and academic development. With the exception of summer, when each grade cohort has its own “Summer Session,” all Fellows have two, 2-hour Core Programs per week between Monday and Thursday. Each cohort’s Core Programs are built around key focus areas:

Freshmen: Academic Habits, Leadership Development, Self-Development
Sophomores: Academic Habits, Leadership Development, Self-Development, ACT Prep
Juniors: ACT Prep, College Seminars, Writing, Prep for the College Application Process
Seniors: ACT Prep, Writing, College Application Process, Transitioning to College

The ultimate goal of BRYC’s Core Programs is to ensure that 100% of Senior Fellows have been accepted to and are able to pay for one or more strong-fit, four-year colleges, and also that they possess the habits and mindsets critical to college persistence and graduation.
