Project Title: Bridges Community Support Services
Project Description:

SHIP (Supporting Housing Individual Program) Community Development thanks you for the opportunity to request support for our homeless and mental health services program, known as the Bridges Community Support Services Program, in Orlando, Florida. With a staggering 2,900,000 adults in Florida having a mental health condition, and only about 36% receive any form of treatment, along with the 13% of Floridians who are at or below the poverty level, which equates to approximately 3,000,000 people, our services have never been more imperative. Our programming is a "One-Stop-Shop" (Transitional Psychiatric Discharge, Clinical Assessments, Medication Management, Targeted Case Management, Individual & Family Counseling, Trauma Support Group, Peer Support, Substance Abuse, Relapse and Suicide Prevention, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Support & Advocacy, Housing Assistance, Mobile Crisis Unit, and Youth Early Intervention Program) for underserved and overlooked community members in Central Florida. Your funding will help us provide extra supplemental resources for the growing number of homeless and severely mentally ill youth and adults in our beautiful community. Bridges Community Support Services (BCSS) improves lives one day at a time. BCSS is committed to providing comprehensive, collaborative, person-centered, and individualized services throughout the community. Our caring staff will assist our community by linking them to the needed services. Our priority is for everyone to have options for housing, income, productive work, medical and social services, transportation, education, and personal support equivalent to that of all citizens and adequate to meet individual wants and needs. Our programs are designed to significantly enhance the economic sustainability of families through a multifaceted approach:
