Project Title: School on Water
Project Description:

Mosdos Sanz is a private school in the Monsey area that is well known for its high educational standards for religious Jewish girls. The school’s staff doesn’t take its responsibility of building the next generation lightly and sees quality education as a mission rather than an occupation.

The school has garnered an incredible reputation in the area due to its holistic approach to bringing out the best in every student. Not all students shine the same way. and the staff at Mosdos Sanz know that well. Teachers are trained to appeal not only to the mind of each student but also to their emotional and social health, bringing out the best of every girl. The staff also provides emotional support, remedial support, or anything else students may need so they grow into healthy, confident individuals who can meaningfully contribute to society.

Project ‘School on Water’ is Mosdos Sanz’s latest endeavor of building a pool on its grounds, opening a new world of health education, team building, and water sports to its students. Whether due to money constraints at home or simply a lack of opportunity in the local area, the staff at Mosdos Sanz have noted a lack of fitness and exercise opportunities for its students. Obesity is on the rise, and many students are living inactive and unhealthy lifestyles.
More than anything taught at school, the school board knows that the health and well-being of its students come first. It also acknowledges that there is a giant wealth of opportunity in a pool setting for social education, water safety, physical education, and healthy sports. With Project ‘School on Water’ the school hopes to partner with the Hermanowski Fund to bring these pool benefits into the school and the local area.
