Project Title: Empowering Tomorrow’s Entrepreneurs Today
Project Description:
A $10,000 grant from your foundation will be fully allocated to cover the costs of SVA’s summer bridge program for our inaugural 6th and 7th grade cohorts in July 2025. This intensive two-week experience is critical for students’ successful transition into our unique school model and culture. Grant funds will enable us to:
Develop engaging, hands-on projects that introduce our STREAM and entrepreneurship focus
Train a team of veteran teachers to deliver bridge programming
Purchase supplies for bridge activities like design challenges, lab investigations, and art installations
Provide transportation and meals to maximize student participation
Host a culminating showcase where students present their innovative projects to the community
Through bridge, students will build bonds with teachers and peers, reducing back-to-school anxiety. Immersive preview projects ignite engagement and establish expectations. Social-emotional workshops equip students with tools for success. Perhaps most importantly, students and families internalize from day one that SVA is a place where their voices and aspirations are valued. Your support makes this possible.
