Project Title: Saving Our Youth & Communities from Gun and Gang Violence
Project Description:

Our initiative aims to significantly reduce gun and gang violence in Cleveland by implementing a dual-component strategy. Firstly, our meticulously designed 10-week cognitive behavioral program, divided into Phases 1 and 2, targets the root psychological and social factors contributing to violence. This program equips participants with the tools for personal transformation, fostering critical thinking and emotional resilience essential for disengaging from violent behaviors. Secondly, the Community Assist Team (C.A.T.) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety of our youth through the "Safe Passages" initiative, which provides secure routes for students traveling to and from local schools. Beyond safeguarding our children, the C.A.T. actively works to disrupt the cycles of violence in our neighborhoods through targeted Community Violence Intervention efforts. Together, these comprehensive approaches create a synergistic effect, not only curbing immediate threats but also building a foundation for lasting peace and safety in our communities.
