Project Title: ‘Shine Bowls’ Youth Works!
Project Description:

Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics has created a summer project that aims to develop youth entrepreneurial skills while generating revenue for Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics. Our work project, titled ‘Shine Bowls,’ Youth Works! will involve the creation and sale of fruit bowls at sports tournaments designed to promote health and wellness within the community.
Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics strongly believes in empowering our youth through opportunities that foster personal growth, responsibility, and self-sustainability. The ‘Shine Bowls’ Youth works! project aligns perfectly with our mission by providing summer jobs for young individuals, equipping them with valuable entrepreneurial skills and enabling them to contribute to the financial stability of Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics. The ‘Shine Bowls’ Youth Works! project will involve keynotes that will help develop our youth step by step.
Tacoma Shine will actively engage with local schools, community centers, and youth organizations to identify motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are interested in participating in the project. Tacoma Shine will prioritize candidates who exhibit a strong work ethic, leadership potential, and a genuine interest in entrepreneurship. Before working, selected youth participants will undergo comprehensive training sessions to develop their skills in various areas such as food preparation, customer service, marketing, and financial management. These training sessions will be conducted by experienced mentors and professionals who will provide valuable insights and guidance.
Once the youth participants are trained, they will collaborate with our team to create a menu of nutritious and visually appealing fruit bowls. The participants will have the opportunity to experiment with different flavors, combinations, and presentation styles, fostering their creativity and critical thinking abilities. We will ensure that the ‘Shine Bowls’ reflect our commitment to healthy living and use high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. To enhance the impact of the project, we will develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that will include social media campaigns, collaborations with local businesses, and participation in community events. The youth participants will actively participate in marketing initiatives, networking, and sales skills. They will learn how to engage with customers, promote the ‘Shine Bowls’ brand, and handle financial transactions. Throughout the project, youth participants will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of ‘Shine Bowls.’ Youth will develop an understanding of budgeting, profit margins, cost analysis, and inventory management. These financial responsibilities will provide youth with a practical understanding of entrepreneurship and the importance of fiscal responsibility.
By incorporating ‘Shine Bowls’ Youth Works! as a summer project, Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics will create a platform for youth to develop essential entrepreneurial skills. The project will not only provide youth with valuable work experience but also instill qualities such as teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience. Moreover, the revenue generated from the sale of ‘Shine Bowls’ will support the sustainability of Tacoma Shine and enable us to continue providing opportunities for youth in Pierce county community.
We kindly request 10,000 for Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics to make this project a reality. Your expertise, guidance, and resources will be instrumental in ensuring the success of ‘Shine Bowls’ Youth Works! and the development of youth entrepreneurial skills. Tacoma Shine is confident that this project will have a lasting impact on the lives of our youth participants and contribute to the overall growth of our community and success of Tacoma Shine Youth Athletics.
