Project Title: Brave Generation
Project Description:

Brave Generation is dedicated to empowering Ukrainian youth affected by the ongoing war, offering comprehensive support to facilitate healing and nurture their potential as future leaders crucial to Ukraine’s post-war recovery. Brave Generation is an umbrella for four interconnected projects:

– MentorUkraine: We eliminate barriers that hinder displaced Ukrainians from realizing their full potential, particularly focusing on educational opportunities. By connecting Ukrainian students with top students worldwide, we ensure they receive mentorship support during the application process to international universities. Our community has grown to over 400 mentees and mentors, with 40 participants entering universities last year.

– TeachUkraine: Designed to enhance English language proficiency and ensure access to higher education opportunities. We address financial barriers by covering costs of English language test exams and organizing preparation for university applications. Last Fall, we covered 60 TOEFL exams and 32 language courses.

– HealUkraine: Providing individual and group therapy sessions with professional psychologists to address mental health challenges faced by young Ukrainians. Over 70 participants have received qualified mental support, overcoming issues including war trauma, panic attacks, anxiety, and lack of confidence.

– Ukrainian Recovery Youth Global Initiative: Offering leadership training to equip young Ukrainians with the skills and mindset needed for effective contribution to their nation’s recovery. Through online lectures by esteemed professors, European Parliament members, and international experts, participants gain knowledge in democracy, human rights, diplomacy, anti-corruption, and leadership. We also offer in-person activities at Yale University and internships in governmental institutions, including the Ukrainian Parliament and American Congress.

These initiatives collectively provide holistic support, addressing educational barriers, mental health issues, and leadership development needs. By fostering unity within the Ukrainian community and forming global partnerships, we empower youth to contribute to Ukraine’s future.
