Project Description:

In Tulsa, many organizations offer transportation for their clients (bus tokens, gas cards, mileage reimbursement, taxis, etc.), spending an average of $97,000 per year for these services. However, Modus offers a more efficient and cost-effective alternative, allowing specialized professionals like case managers and social workers to focus on their agency’s core services.

Modus stands out by providing safe and reliable transportation through trained and vetted staff and volunteers. It ensures consistent and punctual transportation for individuals and families at no cost to clients. Unlike other rideshare services, Modus allows youth aged 13 and older to travel unaccompanied. Notably, nearly 50% of riders fall within the 0-19 age group, with 91% of rides dedicated to educational, nutritional, healthcare, and social services purposes.

Partner agencies have experienced profound benefits from Modus. For example, Modus plays a crucial role in supporting parents enrolled in programs like the Safe Babies Court, aiding in fulfilling the necessary steps for family reunification. With Modus’s assistance, the Parent Child Center of Tulsa’s Safe Babies Court program reported a significant increase in successful family reunifications, from 50% to 87%.

Since 2017, Modus has provided over 27,000 rides to Tulsans facing various challenges or confined to their homes, with nearly 15,000 rides in the past two years alone.
