Project Title: Creative Edge Laboratory
Project Description:

A 12 week training workshop for teens and young adults to learn and gain hands on knowledge in the areas of sketching, painting, fashion, interior design and carpentry. The goal is to provide equitable access to careers in art related industries to groups who do not traditionally see as attainable. An introductory to creativity-based careers that will provide a living wage.
Our objectives for our participants are to increase technical skills and increase awareness of arts career opportunities in San Francisco and beyond. Increase participants’ confidence in their ability to find a place in the local creative economy, show participants how to plan for a fulfilling life and teach how to be a positive example in the community.
Additionally, we aim to build a sense of resilience that can serve our youth as they navigate the many aspects of life both personally and professionally.
