Project Title: BH 2024 Robotics for Girls Course
Project Description:
Robotics for Girls” is an innovative STEM program designed to empower young girls by offering enrollment to 30 participants for a comprehensive 22-week curriculum. The primary focus of this program is to cultivate problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and hands-on learning experiences in the realms of robotics programming 101, electronics, and robot construction.
Aligned with a Bernadette’s House (BH) goal to advance female empowerment in STEM, “Robotics for Girls” aims to enhance participants’ understanding and proficiency in these disciplines through a combination of hands-on activities, engaging projects, and collaborative learning opportunities. By immersing themselves in building and programming robots, participants will develop a practical and applied approach to STEM education.
Throughout the program, girls will delve into various aspects of robotics, gaining valuable insights and skills that will not only bolster their academic prowess but also foster a sense of confidence and capability. From learning the fundamentals of coding for robotics to exploring the intricacies of electronic components, each module is crafted to provide a holistic learning experience.
Moreover, “Robotics for Girls” is more than just a series of lessons; it is a community that encourages creativity, teamwork, and exploration. Girls in the program will have the chance to work together on challenging projects, exchanging ideas and insights, thereby honing their collaboration and communication skills.
By the end of the journey, the girls will have not only gained technical proficiency but also developed a passion for STEM. “BH Robotics for Girls” is not just about teaching robotics; it is about opening doors to a world of possibilities, inspiring young minds to pursue careers and passions in STEM fields. This program represents BH’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of female leaders in STEM, creating a brighter and more inclusive future for all.
