Project Title: Clothing Program
Project Description:

Holy Family Day Home is a home-away-from-home for the children of working families in the Bay Area. We provide subsidized childcare and preschool year-round at our historic Mission District location. Because 86% of our families fall at or near the poverty line in San Francisco, we also provide family support services to stabilize families and mitigate the most harmful effects of poverty, like food insecurity and extreme stress.

Our mission is to provide affordable, high-quality, early childhood education and family support services in a stable and nurturing environment, thereby providing the children of working families with skills and hope for lifelong development. Our work centers on the Day Home Community Fund, a year-round suite of services that includes childcare, early childhood education, and holistic family support services.

Low-income families in our community face financial difficulties in providing adequate clothing for their growing children. In addition, clothing assistance services are not always easily accessible or can be perceived as unsafe due to their location. To alleviate these burdens, our childcare facility has initiated a clothing program that provides free clothing in a safe and convenient setting. Holy Family Day Home caters to both children and adults and is currently sourcing clothing through donations. Holy Family Day Home seeks to address the critical need of clothing assistance for families in our community without any limitations on the quantity of clothing that can be acquired.
