Project Title: Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks 2025
Project Description:

Grant funding is requested to provide supplies for the free family friendly art activities that accompany free family movies on the lawn at Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks. Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks is part of a national network of outdoor Levitt music venues and Levitt AMP pop-up concert sites dedicated to strengthening the social fabric of communities in America through free, live music in public spaces. Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks offers approximately 50 free concerts and 10 free family-friendly movies each summer at the outdoor venue located on the SteelStacks arts and cultural campus. Teaching Artists provide free family-friendly art activities prior to each of the outdoor movies to provide arts engagement for community members.

Levitt Pavilion at SteelStacks is a gathering space that strengthens the community through the power & joy of free, live, outdoor music, and has presented nearly 600 free concerts for community members and visitors since its opening in July 2011. Each year approximately 57,000 community members attend free performances from local and regional Blues, Country, Tribute, Alternative, Funk, Pop, Americana, Rock, Motown, Reggae, Salsa, Soul, Patriotic, Folk, Jazz, Latin, Gospel, Christian Rock, Metal, and Indie artists. Educational events for area students are facilitated by performing artists from diverse backgrounds to engage students in possible careers in performing arts.
