Project Title: Black Health Disparities In The Lakeview/OMI Community
Project Description:

Proposed Project: OMI-CPP seeks general operating and program support for the 2023-2024 fiscal year, in the amount of $10,000.00.

We’re a dedicated and passionate nonprofit organization, committed to promoting arts and culture within our community. Our mission is to enrich lives through the transformative power of the arts, fostering creativity, inclusivity, and cultural appreciation.

We are seeking your support through a Capacity Building grant to strengthen our organizational infrastructure, and enhance our ability to serve the 94112 & 94132 communities in San Francisco, CA.

Through extensive social media/print outreach, 94112/94132 residents will help guide the creative process of annual/monthly events, exploring community history, neighborhood assets of value, and pressing neighborhood concerns, resulting in immersive events in public space that resonate with residents and contribute to community health & well-being.

We will work and support local artists/businesses/nonprofits that are connected to San Francisco District 11, with a focus on Black/Indigenous/People Of Color (BIPOC) who have a stake in driving community regeneration.

The primary goal of our project is to build our capacity, and to more effectively fulfill our mission and expand its impact on the community. The proposed activities focus on organizational development, staff hires (particularly a Program Director, Food Recovery Director and Grant Writer, technology upgrades, and community engagement strategies.
