Project Title: Diaper Distribution Program
Project Description:

CNY Diaper Bank was founded in 2016 to provide free diapers to families through a network of partner agencies in Syracuse, NY and the surrounding region. We raise funds to purchase diapers in bulk which are then distributed monthly, 50/child, through various partner programs. Our diaper distribution serves low income families and is an essential resource in a community with one of the highest child poverty rates in the nation. Diapers are not covered by WIC or SNAP benefits and can cost more than $100/month for one child. Families forced to go without cannot bring their children to daycare, cannot attend work and are forced to choose between paying for diapers or paying for food and other essentials. Diaper need impacts children physically, emotionally and cognitively. CNYDB is a member of the National Diaper Bank Network and the Baby2Baby National Network. We are the largest diaper bank in NYS and have distributed over 9.6 million since 2016.
