Project Title: Career Pathways
Project Description:

Career Pathways provides services for foster youth to promote academic success and develop independent living skills. Through a structured curriculum, they receive the support and guidance needed to gain a HS diploma of GED certificate. Youth are involved in various activities designed to reinforce critical thinking and problem solving skills, build self esteem, and identify continuing education options and curriculums to support the skills needed to attain gainful employment. Youth participate in workshops that identify and address the life skills they will need to successfully transition into adulthood. The areas consist of financial literacy, independent life skills, dress & grooming for job success, personality assessments, career and educational assessments, job search and interview training and college tours. All of these areas are essential to ensure that our youth are able to positively transition into society by pursuing higher education and securing gainful employment.
